T-Mobile Offers Free iPhone 18 Pro With Trade-In and Experience Beyond Plan

T-Mobile's new promotion gives customers an iPhone 18 Pro at no upfront cost through 36 monthly bill credits, requiring a trade-in or carrier switch and its Experience Beyond plan. The iPhone 18 Pro Max is also eligible, while the foldable iPhone 18 Duo may get a similar deal when preorders open October 16.

T-Mobile's Apple iPhone 18 Pro "On Us" Deal Explained

T-Mobile has launched a promotion that offers Apple's new iPhone 18 Pro at no upfront cost, applying the discount as bill credits over a 36-month period. The deal, which went live alongside Apple's preorder window, is aimed at customers who either switch to T-Mobile and port in their existing number or trade in an eligible phone in any condition.

The total credit amounts to $1,199, matching the retail price of the iPhone 18 Pro. Customers must also sign up for T-Mobile's Experience Beyond plan, which costs $100 per month for a single line with AutoPay, plus taxes and fees. A one-time $35 connection charge applies. The plan includes unlimited talk, text, and 5G premium data, along with Netflix (Standard with ads) and Hulu subscriptions, Apple TV for $3 per month, unlimited mobile hotspot, T-Satellite, annual phone upgrade eligibility, and a five-year price guarantee. International travelers get unlimited text and 30GB of high-speed data in Canada and Mexico, plus unlimited text and 15GB of high-speed data in more than 215 other countries.

Apple announced the iPhone 18 lineup, including the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the all-new iPhone 18 Duo, during its «Surprise and Shine» event on September 9. Preorders for the Pro and Pro Max are now open, with orders shipping starting September 18. The Pro Max carries a retail price of $1,299, so the same $1,199 credit leaves a $100 balance for customers who want the larger screen. T-Mobile has not yet listed a promotion for the iPhone 18 Duo, but a similar or better discount is likely when that model goes up for preorder on October 16.

The iPhone 18 Duo is expected to be an especially attractive candidate for a promotion because of its $1,999 sticker price. It will be Apple's first foldable phone, featuring two displays: a 5.4-inch screen when folded and a 7.6-inch screen when unfolded. Apple says it will be the thinnest iPhone ever in unfolded mode. The Duo will use the same Apple A20 Pro processor found in the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max.

The Pro and Pro Max models upgrade to the Apple A20 Pro processor, built on a new 2-nanometer process technology. Apple claims 40% greater graphics performance over the previous iPhone. Other notable upgrades include a main camera with variable aperture ranging from f/1.48 to f/4.0 and faster 60W charging. The iPhone 18 Duo is Apple's first foldable, while the rest of the lineup represents incremental upgrades.

For consumers, the T-Mobile offer lowers the immediate cost of owning Apple's latest high-end phone, though the structure of bill credits means the full value is realized only by staying with the carrier for three years. The requirement to use the Experience Beyond plan adds a recurring monthly cost that potential buyers should weigh against the upfront savings. The promotion is currently limited to the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max, leaving the foldable Duo as the next likely target for a similar deal.
