Country singer Maren Morris posted photos from a wellness retreat in Bali with friends, telling followers she is 'not healed but healing' as she continues a personal journey that has included a divorce and public battles over her political views.

The country singer shared a series of photos on Instagram from a recent group trip to Bali, writing that she is «not healed but healing» and thanking her yoga instructors for what she described as a beautiful experience with new friends.
In the post, Morris included a photo of herself standing on a deck in a black string bikini, holding a drink, with lounge chairs visible behind her. Other images showed her taking part in a group meditation, standing under a waterfall, and laughing with friends. The 36-year-old told her audience the trip was not over yet.

The post marks another public step in a period of personal change for the singer, who has spoken openly about her mental health and the pressures she has faced in country music.
Morris broke through in 2016 with the song «My Church,» which led to her debut album «Hero» and hits including «80's Mercedes,» «I Could Use a Love Song» and «Rich.» She has since released four studio albums, among them «Girl,» «Humble Quest» and «D R E A M S I C L E,» and has earned 17 Grammy nominations with one win.
While she did not specify what she is healing from, Morris told People in August 2025 that «D R E A M S I C L E» was a deeply personal record dealing with her sexuality and her divorce from her ex-husband Ryan Hurd. She described the album as intimate and vulnerable, and said it was meaningful to see listeners healing from her own healing.
Morris has also been candid about the toll of her public positions. In a TikTok earlier this year, she said her mental health has suffered because she is «so deeply concerned and uncomfortable with the weird status quo of country music.» She said she no longer attends many award shows, calling them «dicey» as the political atmosphere in the genre has shifted, and acknowledged that she has lost fans over her views.
«If you don't agree with me, and you can't enjoy my music because of my viewpoints, you are absolutely allowed to do that,» she said. The singer has faced criticism in the past, including in 2024 when she was told she should be arrested after taking her young son to a drag show. She defended the outing on «The Kelly Clarkson Show,» describing the performance as family friendly and an expression of artistry.
The Bali photos offer a quieter counterpoint to those debates, showing Morris in a setting focused on wellness, friendship and rest. By sharing the images and her message about healing, she continues to frame her public life as an ongoing process rather than a finished story.
